The Necromancer tower works fine now and its powerful! After abusing it a little, seems like it only resurrect one unit if it was hit with AoE damage. Not sure if its intendeded.
For instance, the 6 man guardsman attack supposed to resurrect 6 of them after being hit by catapult towers, but only 2 were being resurrected in the end, with each hit from catapults. Which means only 1 man was resurrected with each 1 of Catapult AoE attack.
When a unit dies by cannon attack within Necromancer range, the projectile graphics stuck on the resurrected unit.
2.Blue, graphics bug + targeting bug,
The tesla tower fires its lightning projectile, the lightning projectile bounces back and hits an air unit (on the river). The air unit has the lightning projectile stuck on it, and the AA towers are unable to target it at all. The air unit with the lightning projectile bug flies all the way to the castle.
This game is awesome, it needs some polish to (you can't unselect unless you go back to menu in the top for buildings, on tablet in chrome the building info often gets stuck on screen, ...).
With the added strategy through characters this game would be great with fog of war on the enemy half side of the map and a multiplayer. Did you take inspiration in some other tower defence game? This the first time for me playing one like this, love it!
Thank you very much for the feedback. We took a much-needed break after the game jam but are now working on bugfixes. Too bad the mechamammoth and necromancer towers did not work in the final version of the game... We were also thinking of adding some more features like a tutorial, more levels, smarter AI and maybe even multiplayer (if we are able to get that to work).
Great music, very fitting..interface felt a bit clunky to me, and it's weird the music completely stops once you select the attack option. Otherwise, feels like a very complete game!
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, the interface might need some rethinking. Having to click the attack button each time did not feel great after a while, so maybe we might add a shortcut or rethink the design altogether in an update of the game (depending on how much we still want to polish this project before moving on to the next game jam).
Yes, we noticed this after the upload for the game jam. I really liked the mechamammoth as an over-the-top unit but sadly it did not spawn in the HTML version of the game. We took a much-needed break after the game jam but are now working on bugfixes, so hopefully the mechamammoth will be available in the game after an update.
Fun game, however if I would make an improvement I would make the game fair for both sides and not give the enemy more stuff to start out with. The game is easy once you understand the winning strategy is to just make only wheat farms at the start and use the tons of wheat to make a lot of towers and barracks.
Thank you for the feedback! This was our first time implementing an AI opponent in a game, and there is still a lot to improve on the concept in the future. We are currently working on bugfixes so maybe we could also improve the AI so that it reacts more to what the player is doing and feels smarter instead of just having more resources because that might feel unfair.
if it serves as feedback on difficulty, the game is easily breakable, you only have to deny gold(i tried it on hard) to your enemy and it will not try to put barracks in a new path, it completely breaks the i.a strategy from that point on, that will do absolutely nothing to try to solve this, besides it, its a great game

Seems like the Necromancer tower doesn't resurrect air units as well.
Could be intended, because that also means Zeppelin can be resurrected I guess?

Found two more bugs after abusing it a little,

Took me a couple of attempts but I really enjoy the pace of this game.
I have discovered a bug,
Mechmammoth fails to spawn, spawns a regular guardsman instead.
And my towers keep on shooting at my "Mechmammoth guardsman" like its an enemy. It occurs on enemy side as well.

Difficult but I feel as though it is fair

Too difficult even in Easy mode but I really like the diversity of troops and upgrades. Great game!
